Simplicity 5840 Pattern Typo?

Simplicity Pattern 5840

Cut 2...but the instructions require 4 plus interfacing

I was working with Simplicity Pattern 5840 this weekend and noticed a

discrepancy between what the pattern tells you to cut out and what the instructions call for.  The pattern tells you to only cut 2 of the pattern.  This usually means just cut two of fabric.  When I read the directions, it mentions interfacing and facing.  It also shows in the illustrations that the facing is folded over not that the band just folds in half, which is what one would expect by only cutting two of the pattern.  They may have meant cut twice.

Either-way, this is a heads up if working with Simplicity pattern  5840. Otherwise it’s an easy pattern to work with and very comfcomfortable shirt for you Cosplay enthusiasts.
